Here you will collaborate with other members of our class in order to share information about how certain traits have evolved through the history of life.
First:
Watch this lecture on phylogeny to introduce you to this particular unit.
Second:
Begin your research for your trait. You will need to make sure that you research includes the following phyla and classes: Porifera, Cnidaria, Platyhelminthes, Nematoda, Annelida, Mollusca, Arthropoda, Echinodermata, Chordata, Chondrichthyes, Osteichthyes, Amphibia, Reptilia, Aves, Mammalia.
Third:
On your assigned topic page, create a phylogenetic tree to show how your trait has evolved over time. You may need to create this in Microsoft Word or Publisher and insert it as a screen clipping. Also, create a link to your podcast and embed it below your cladogram. Please be sure to link it with your name!
Fourth:
Comment on the cladogram of 2 peers. Be sure to follow the project rubric and create your comments in a different color font. Be sure to put your name with your comment!
